Yambio County Commissioner on Sunday at St Joseph Quasi Parish, called on the public to clean all residential and commercial areas in preparation for Christmas.
Commissioner John Kuzee Elias said he would convene a meeting with all chiefs to form small committees to ensure every home is clean, warning that violators would face charges.
He ordered people who are scattering garbage along the main road from St Mary Catholic Parish to Prison junction in Yambio town to stop the practice or face arrest.
The Commissioner advised them to collect all garbage in one place for the lorry to transport them away.
He appealed to citizens not to fight over clothes for Christmas, urging them to maintain peace and stability in families and prepare their hearts for the coming of Jesus Christ.
