National Election Commission and Political parties on Monday conducted a consultative meeting on the 2015 draft electoral calendar in Juba.

Commission Chairman Abednego Akok described to the press the calendar prepared for the coming election as ‘tense and condensed’, Radio Bakhita reported.

Voter’s Registration Officer Lawrence Sulubia Amin said voter registration needs 261 days and that manual registration takes 76 days for concentration.

He said they would have election high committees set up at the state level to carry out the exercise.

Mr Amin said in the calendar, the election would exceed one day because of poor infrastructure and the campaign period.
