Yei River County Gender Child and Social Development Assistant Commissioner said by-laws to safeguard women and children from abuses are underway and would soon be signed by Commissioner.
Speaking to Radio Easter, Victoria Nasera Augustine said county councillors passed the regulations and are under amendments to be endorsed for law enforcement agents to implement.
The officer laments that many children and women suffer from rape, physical assaults among other abuses with shallow penalties to perpetrators.
