Western Bahr El Ghazal State education minister told parents to guide children on careers, but never to dictate careers for their children.
Michael Madut Chan advised Wau masses to let children discover careers on their own as teachers and parents guide them, Voice of Hope reported.
He observed that some parents choose careers for children against interests.
Career fair facilitator Clement Duku revealed that relationship between teachers and learners is poor; leading to inability to mentor learners on careers.
He added that poor relationship even inflicted pain to some teachers being beaten by learners.
The State education ministry disclosed plans to erect temporary shelters to minimize class congestion to improve teacher-learner rapport.
