Sudan Catholic Bishops after their annual plenary in Juba on Saturday after listening to peace talks’ briefing by Government Spokesperson Michael Makuei Lueth told citizens to work for peace and repentance.
Archbishop of Juba Paolino Lukudu Loro said the Sudan Bishops Conference which ended on Friday necessitated a briefing by government on the latest development in peace talks in Ethiopia, Bakhita Radio reported.
He appreciated the government for briefing them on current events in the country, saying bishops are following the problems of South Sudan in prayers.
Archbishop Lukudu called for change of hearts, asserting that South Sudanese were not created for war, but peace.
The Catholic Bishops reminded the nation to throw away bitterness in hearts for peace to prevail.
