The Association of European Parliamentarians for Africa or AWEPA in collaboration with Western Equatoria Local Government ministry trained County Executive Directors of Ezo, Tombura and Nagero to empower them to train their County Legislative Councillors.
Local Government ministry Director Ryembe Benjamin Wani told Anisa Radio that the Directors of other seven counties were sent to Juba sometimes back for the same training.
He said the training aimed at raising the capacity of County Councillors to deliberate effectively in passing by-laws.
Mr Benjamin added that next Monday, AWEPA would visit Ezo County before proceeding to Tombura and Nagero Counties to equip County Councillors with legislation skills.
The Director disclosed that AWEPA signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the national government to carry out capacity building for national, state and county legislators.
