Western Equatoria Women for Change Association chairperson encouraged mothers and girls to join various groups in the community.
Grace Merci said they have a system called ‘merry go round’ whereby women contribute money, plates and cups to help each other, Anisa Radio reported.
She said their Association planned to build the capacity of women at all levels and that they established a bakery and a garden to promote their agricultural activities.
Ms Merci added that other activities include football teams for boys and girls to promote peace and unity among youths, adding that they also enlighten young people about dangers of HIV/AIDS and importance of education and peace.
She lamented that the Association faces challenges of office block, funds to run its activities well, buy uniforms for the football players and to get a qualified coach to train the team.
