The former Program Manager of Bakhita Radio raised by the administration of the Archdiocese of Juba to be Acting Directress assumed office on Friday.
Josephine Achiro replaced the former Director Albino Tokwaro who was terminated with effect from November after the Radio closed for two months.
The outgoing Director Tokwaro in a farewell meeting encouraged the staff to cooperate with the new administration to develop the station.
He appreciated the staff for cooperating with him during his three-year period in office, saying he learned many new things from Bakhita Radio workers.
Mr Tokwaro advised the new head to face administrative challenges with courageous heart and hard work, calling on the staff to show love amongst themselves.
The Acting Directress called on the staff to unite and take the Radio to its best performance level, advising them to work as a team.
Ms Achiro is the third head of Bakhita Radio after Albino Tokwaro and Sister Cecilia Sierra since the opening of the station in Juba in 2009.
