The National Legislative Assembly is expecting to go for four months’ recess beginning in the second week of December.
Communication and Information Committee Chairperson Thomas Wani Kundu told CRN on Thursday that Members of Parliament expect to resume assembly sessions on the first Monday of April, 2015.
He added that they expect to enjoy the Christmas in peace.
MP Wani said the recent break in parliamentary sessions was not a real recess due to ongoing crisis in the country.
He explained that they were kept within without sitting to watch for any urgent motion if the speaker identifies.
The Information Committee Chairperson urges constituents to pray hard for peace to usher South Sudan to Christmas as soon as possible as South Sudanese are tired of war causing untold suffering.
He called for rededication to the Almighty God to bring peace and joy to the country.
National Legislative Assembly members were in October given allowances to go for one month recess, but Speaker Manasseh Magok Rundial later instructed them to keep within even without ongoing session.
