Badi School beats Joy in debate competition

Pupils of Badi Academy on Friday defeated their counterpart of Joy Nursery and Primary School in Yambio in a debate competition motioned: ‘Village life is better than town life’.
 
Badi Academy pupils who opposed the motion scored 315 out of 360 points, while Joy got 286, Anisa Radio reported.
 
The opponents mentioned that police force, job opportunities, sports activities and child spacing are mostly found in towns.
 
Joy pupils, who were proposing the motion, cited enough food in the village resulting to balance diet, fertile land, pointing out that towns are full of war, crimes and prostitution.
 
Badi Academy headmaster Eric Lubega appreciated the debate, adding that it fortifies good relationship between schools and pupils.
 
Joy Nursery and Primary School headmaster Ronnie Byarugaba appreciated the two schools for bringing up the idea of debate competition and that his school participated for the first time.
