Rubena Ladu Timber Company, dealing in export and processing of forest products, on Sunday handed over a newly drilled borehole to residents of Sanjasiri area.
The Company Managing Director Malish Clinton said the borehole drilled at bore cost of 11.7 thousand United States Dollars, is part of the contribution to provide clean drinking water to the community, Radio Easter reported.
He called on other companies to emulate the same move to support the Local Government by providing other basic needs to vulnerable communities.
Mr Clinton advised residents to form a monitoring committee to make correct use of the water facility.
Speaking after the opening ceremony, some women expressed happiness and thanked Rubena Company for the kind support.
