Civil society organizations after a three-day advocacy training on Friday in Yei River County agreed to launch an orphanage block and support the existing centres.
Community Empowerment for Progress Organization or CEPO Executive Director Edmond Yakani, who facilitated the training, said they would mobilize resources, Radio Easter reported.
Mr Yakani urged the business community and citizens to contribute money to support orphans, adding that they chose orphanage after five years case study because people care less about orphans in the community.
He called on the media to ensure reporting on accountability so that the money and resources contributed are spent to achieve its mission.
The Executive Director said the advocacy training was to strengthen the skills of civil society organizations in their work on how to identity developmental issues and fundraising initiatives.
