The national Human Rights Commission chairperson renewed his call on the warring parties to respect the agreements they signed in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and the intra-SPLM dialogue in Arusha Tanzania.

Lawrence Korbandi in a statement on Thursday condemned the recent attacks in Bentiu, Unity State that claimed more innocent lives.

He said the renewed fighting frustrated peace efforts and disregarded the rights of South Sudanese in the region and brought all prayers to nothing.

Mr Korbandi called on the SPLM/A in opposition forces to ceasefire because people of South Sudan need peace, reconciliation and live together.
