The United States and United Nations on Thursday condemned the recent outbreak of violence in Bentiu, Unity State, warning the warring parties against preparing for major offensives at the end of rainy season in the country.
It said the ‘senseless man-made conflict” that violates already signed peace deals would likely be accompanied by widespread displacement, atrocity crimes and famine.
US said the violence lowered South Sudan’s oil output and threatens to return the region to the long years of warfare.
