‘Western Equatoria recognized as peace role model’

Western Equatoria State Information Minister said States during the fourth Governors Forum in Juba recognised their state for being a role model for peaceful coexistence.
 
Barnaba Charles Kisanga told Anisa Radio in a telephone that Western Equatoria was a good example of a peaceful state with unity among the people.
 
He added that the state was also commended for its developmental activities in terms of roads rehabilitation, schools and agriculture improvement despite the situation of war in the country.
 
Mr Kisanga said other states clapped to Western Equatoria Governor Bangasi Joseph Bakosoro for his good presentation, influence and popularity.
 
In a related development, Kisanga said the Forum discusses how to bring peace to the country to realize development.
 
He mentioned that Upper Nile, Unity and Jonglei States representatives showed an example on how war can cause destruction as witnessed in their areas.
 
Minister Kisanga denounced the rumours which spread in the state that Governor Bakosoro was arrested in Juba as just a lie.
 
He appealed to communities of Western Equatoria to be calm and stop propagating lies.
