Warrap State woman participating in four-week training in Yei organized by the National Healing, Peace and Reconciliation said efforts are underway to end cattle rustling and reconcile citizens.
A participant, Sidonia Abuk Kiir, said cattle raiding were identified as one of the factors contributing to conflict and insecurity in cattle keeping states, adding that youths are the target for reconciliation and tools of peace, Radio Easter reported.
Community Agribusiness Development Agency Executive Director, John Riek Yior, who is a support facilitator in the training, urged citizens and the warring parties to resolve the conflict and desist from looking at cultural lines.
The Director said they were training peace mobilizers on building trust and how to enlighten communities to reconcile.
