Yei Municipal Legislative Council members are discussing 2014 Child Education Bill to stop the use of mobile phones in primary and secondary schools.
The Council Speaker Hassan Burhan Mohamed Diko told Easter Radio that the law is meant to empower school authorities to arrest children using phones while at school.
Yei Education Director welcomed the Council’s idea, calling for close monitoring of the implementation at the school level.
