El Obeid Catholic Diocesan Education Coordinator on Friday awarded diplomas to 12 teachers after completion a course at St Daniel Comboni Catechist Teachers’ Training Institute in Kauda of Heiban County of Nuba Mountains.
Sister Cathy Solano said she was happy to witness the success of teachers there, expecting the graduates to serve the people of the Nuba Mountains Voice of Peace reported.
Sr Solano urged teachers to promote education in the Nuba community despite the war situation in the area.
Nuba Mountains Deputy Governor Suleiman Jabon appreciated efforts of the Catholic Church in improving livelihood.
He congratulated the graduates, wishing them success in life endeavours.
The graduation attracted a multitude of people in the Nuba Mountains.
