Tonj South Health Officer in Warrap State on Tuesday said they were ready to train health workers and pharmacists on detecting expired drugs.
Andrew Alek added that the training targeting health workers, supervisors, pharmacists and clinic officers runs from Thursday 11 to September 13, Don Bosco Radio reported.
The official disclosed that the training would help health personnel to identify expired drugs in hospital and pharmacy clinics in Tonj.
Dr Alek advised private pharmacy and clinics to employ qualified personnel to administer drugs to patients correctly.
He cautioned the personnel that expired drugs can kill because they are poisonous chemicals.
