Cabinet Affairs Minister hailing from South Sudan Democratic Forum or SSDF announced that a fraction of political parties agreed to dismiss Dr Lam Akol Ajawin from heading their delegation to peace talks in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Martin Elia Lomurö said the Chairperson of Political Parties Leadership Forum is President Salva Kiir Mayardit.

He added that there is no paramount chair for all political parties according to their conduct.

Dr Elia said some political parties approved Dr Akol resignation’s letter from representing them to the talks, confirming Martin Tako as the new head of delegation.

He alleged that SPLM-DC, National United Democratic Front, Sudan Communist Party, Union of South Sudan Political Party and Democratic Unionist Party do not have legal status to operate in South Sudan.

Dr Akol could not be reached for comments on his alleged dismissal.
