The SPLM-North alleged that Sudan government recruited more than three thousand children into its army.

Nuba Mountains Information Secretary Chatigo Amoja Delman said boys aged between 15 and 17 are being recruited in government controlled areas of El Udaya, Elefun, Jeily, Gedaref, El Merkiatt and El Deza military camps, Voice of Peace reported.

He claimed that Rapid Support Forces’ militia was responsible for training child soldiers to fight in South Kordofan.

Mr Amoja said children were supposed to go to school not military camps.

He called on human rights activists to prevent children from going to combatants’ zones to avoid recruitment into army.
