SCBC welcomes AMECEA capacity building participants to Juba

Sudan Catholic Bishops’ Conference or SCBC and Juba Archdiocese on Wednesday welcomed AMECEA capacity building participants from Kenya, Tanzania, Sudan and South Sudan to Juba.
 
SCBC Secretary-General Fr Jacob Odwa told CRN after the opening session of the AMECEA and United States Catholic Conference of Bishops or USCCB capacity building workshop that South Sudanese are enthusiastic to host the event.
 
The Secretary-General called for such courses to continue to train church personnel for efficiency and refocusing on their tasks.
 
Tanzanian based AMECA Social Communication Coordinator Fr Chrisantus Ndaga said he was very happy and feeling secure to be in Juba.
 
He added that South Sudanese are not alone in the struggle for nation building and prosperity, expressing AMECEA’s solidarity and willingness to support the country.
 
Fr Ndaga expressed pride and confidence in South Sudan and Sudan Catholic churches especially bishops in playing crucial role in development.
 
The AMECEA/USCCB capacity building workshop in Juba is expected to conclude on Saturday.
