Australia pledges 5 million Dollars for aid in South Sudan

The Australian Government pledged to provide additional five million US Dollars for humanitarian assistance to South Sudan.
 
In a statement on Sunday, Research/Communications Officer Marylyn N. Gachoya said the money will go to the United Nation’s South Sudan Common Humanitarian Fund to support provision of emergency food, water, sanitation
 
She added that the emergency funding would also be for shelter, medical assistance, protection of civilians and transporting critical humanitarian supplies into the young country.
