South Sudan Law Society on Tuesday started a three-day training of paralegals to help mitigate and resolve land disputes in their communities.
The lead Facilitator Victor Bol during the opening, said the training would also assist the participants to differentiate criminal cases from civil ones and skilfully handle them, Easter Radio reported.
Mr Bol said the Society is giving the paralegals arbitration and legal skills to resolve problems using laws regulating land in South Sudan.
He added that after the training the participants would be registered as a Paralegal Association under the Local Government Act so that they are legally recognized.
The three-day training brought together 20 participants from all Payams of Yei River County and Municipality
