EPC, India to connect 200 homes in Kenyi with electricity

The Bishop of the Episcopal Presbyterian Church of South Sudan in collaboration with a team from India revealed a plan to connect 200 homes in Lainya with electricity by March.
 
Bishop Elias Taban on Saturday said they selected Kenyi Payam as a pilot project for solar power, Easter Radio reported.
 
Indian team leader disclosed that they already trained eight South Sudan women and are planning to take four others in September to their country to become solar engineers.
 
He also revealed that they approved establishment of a vehicle training centre in Yei at a cost of 40 thousand US Dollars.
 
The officials spoke during a one-day SPLM lecture on ‘the general and scientific analysis of the transformation and consolidation of a party’ on Saturday in Yei.
