Saint Joseph Parish Lutaya in Yei Catholic Diocese on Sunday received Fr Joseph Arike Eugenio as the new parish priest replacing Severio Dalura.
Vicar General Fr Zachariah Angutwa Sebit handed keys to Fr Arike in the presence of the congregations amidst welcoming ululations, Easter Radio reported.
Fr Zachariah in his homily called on the parishioners to cooperate with the new parish priest.
Fr Arike appreciated Lutaya Christians for welcoming him, calling for cooperation, unity and love for the progress of the parish and the diocese.
The Diocesan Pastoral Coordinator Fr Faustino Lumöri urged the new parish to form new committees, strengthen the existing ones and hold regular meetings for better services delivery.
Fr Lumöri urged Christians of Saint Joseph to work hard collaboratively for the development of their parish.
