South Sudan National Security Service on Saturday morning stormed Catholic Radio Network or CRN Bakhita Radio station of Juba Archdiocese, closing it down, arresting and detaining journalists.

News Editor Ocen David Nicholas is in detention for balancing a news story about the fresh fighting in Bentiu, Unity State.

Other released journalists who were all rounded up and driven to the blue house National Security Service said the closure and the detention was due to reflecting the view of SPLM/A in Opposition.

They added that the authority is demanding for a written apology for broadcasting opposition’s views.

The Bakhita Radio Director Albino Tokwaro, Juba Archdiocese bishops and the Sudan Catholic Bishops’ Conference Secretariat are following up the case.
