Hundreds of Christians from all four Chapels on Saturday assembled at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Parish in Rimenze to celebrate for the first time the feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary into heaven.
Tombura-Yambio Catholic Bishop Barani Edwardo Hiiboro Kusala who presided over the Eucharistic celebrations confirmed 64 candidates and blessed the matrimony of four couples, Anisa Radio reported.
The Bishop also blessed 18 people who returned to the Catholic Church in Rimenze after they went to the Episcopal Church of Sudan and South Sudan.
Rimenze Parish Priest Victor Babie explained that faith is growing in Rimenze as many people turn up for the church services in a big number.
He blamed parents for keeping their children at home instead of sending them to schools.
