Warrap and Western Bahr El Ghazal approved 85 thousand South Sudanese Pounds for a one-week consultative campaign on disputed border areas.
Warrap Local Government Minister Acuil Tito said the money is to fund the work of the joint committee ahead of the demarcation, Voice of Hope reported.
He said Western Bahr El Ghazal would contribute 35,000 Pounds and Warrap give 50,000 to cater for accommodation, transportation and feeding of the committee members.
Mr Tito said the joint committee would assist a neutral committee from the Council of States in Juba while investigating disputed areas for final judgment and demarcation.
Western Bahr El Ghazal Governor Rizig Zachariah Hassan said the two states’ governments would pay the money to enable the committee carry out mobilization process.
The Joint committee is expected to begin its campaign in Alelthony, Thar Kueng, Nyinakok, Warnag, Cueiajaei and Babchuk areas after seven days.
