Insurance companies operating in Wau, Western Bahr El Ghazal complained of low turn up of business especially petrol station dealers to register to avoid risk of fire outbreaks.

The complaints came after reports that many petrol stations in residential areas pose threats of fire outbreak, Voice of Hope reported.

UAP Branch Manager Emmanuel James Edward said petrol stations did not insure with them and that in case of fire outbreak they would not compensate damages.

He explained that some petrol stations reported that they insured in Juba, while others promised to register, but did not show up.

Mr James explained that people cannot do business without insurance, adding that
the insurance helps business and individuals recover loses and damages.

The Manager called on all petrol managers and other business people to insure for the protection of their properties.
