Six people were reported dead due to cholera infection in Ikwoto County of Eastern Equatoria state.
Cholera Management Team leader Margaret Pacho told Emmanuel Radio that five of the cholera deaths happened at home while one occurred at Isohe Hospital.
She advised communities to maintain hygiene by digging pit latrines and cover at all times after using it to prevent the spread of the disease.
Ms Pacho called on community health mobilizers to take the lead in maintaining hygiene by digging pit latrines at their homes.
