Yei Municipality Mayoress called on non-citizens to register for easy identification as the municipality exerts efforts to crack down criminals.
Oba Cecilia Tito said citizens would start registration for issuance of residential certificates when the County Legislative Council and the quarter councils endorse a local bill still on table, Easter Radio reported.
She told non-citizens not to be afraid of registration, arguing that it is a normal duty even in neighbouring countries including Uganda.
The Mayoress commended Yei business community for cooperating with local authorities, urging it to work for unity and loyalty.
