South Sudan Women Platform for Peace is rallying on Saturday at Dr John Garang Mausoleum to deliver a letter on peace to the President of the Republic.

Eve Women Development Organization Director Rita Martin, coordinating the women program, said they need President Salva Kiir Mayardit to listen to their voices to stop war and usher peace in the country.

She said women could not afford any longer sitting and watching conflict denying children learning opportunities and killing others because it is like a wild fire on neighbour’s house that may engulf the whole country if not prevented now.

The women leader said after delivering their letter to President Kiir, they would give another strong message to SPLM/A in opposition leader Dr Riek Machar because he has equal powers and responsibilities to end the conflict.

The Director who participated in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia peace talks recently believes IGAD mediators would sort out consultative issues like inclusivity and resume the negotiations in the nearest possible future.
