Union of Journalists of South Sudan or UJOSS Secretary in Western Bahr El Ghazal said journalists would soon acquire freedom of expression as the Media Bills become active laws.
James Deng Dimo gave the view after hearing that the national Legislative Assembly Information and Communication chairperson said lawmakers considered Media Bills unsigned by the President active laws, Voice of Hope reported.
He said the laws would allow many foreign media houses to return to South Sudan and help local journalists to freely practice their profession.
UJOSS Secretary in Western Bahr El Ghazal explained that killing of South Sudan journalists cast fears to international media houses from coming to South Sudan.
Mr Deng called upon all journalists to work according to the content of the Media laws.
He appreciated the National Legislative Assembly for considering the Media Bills laws after 30 days without the signature of the president.
