Women activists condemn road attacks

Eastern Equatoria Women activists strongly condemned roadside attacks and killings of innocent civilians along Torit-Kapoeta highway.
 
Women Civil Society organization member Lucy Iliha called on individual attackers to change their attitudes because their acts prevent incoming of investors and retard development in the state, Emmanuel Radio reported.
 
Eastern Equatoria Women Association Vice Chairperson Davidica Ikai called for an end to unnecessary attacks and killings.
 
She said there should be free movement of people and commodities from Juba to Nadapal.
 
The women activists spoke after a series of attacks along Torit-Kapoeta road in Eastern Equatoria last Friday where four people were killed forcing divers to suspend operations along the highway leaving many passengers stranded.
