Law Society urges citizens to promote democracy

South Sudan Law Society in Yei River County urged citizens and leaders to promote democracy, good governance, accountability, transparency to hold violators accountable.
 
Legal Aid Officer Data John Losukwa on Thursday called on citizens to encourage the rule of law, Easter Radio reported.
 
The Officer said it is a collective responsibility of the government and citizens to exert efforts to bring peace and develop the nation.
 
He advised citizens and partners to access laws of the country to avoid difficulties.
 
The Transitional Constitution article 24 says every citizen has the right to the freedom of expression, reception and dissemination of information, publication and access to the press without prejudice order, safety or morals.
