National government launches pentavalent vaccine

The national government is expected to launching pentavalent vaccine at Al Shaba Children Hospital in Juba.
 
Central Equatoria Expanded Programme of Immunization Manager George Auzenio Legge said the vaccine prevents diphtheria, peruses, tetanus, hepatitis B and haemophilus B.
 
Dr Auzenio told parents that there is a privilege of new vaccine for their children in a routine system, targeting infants from six weeks to one year.
 
The Manager encouraged parents to take their children for vaccination at all health centers.
 
He said children are considered fully immunized when they receive three doses.
 
The Manager reminded parents that the vaccine would protect children from the bacterial causing Meningitis, pneumonia and reduce measles related deaths.
