At least four people were killed along Torit-Kapoeta road of Eastern Equatoria State, on Friday.

Torit County Commissioner German Charles Ojok told journalists that the four victims were two women and two men killed in two separate attacks.

He said three people; a man and two women including an expectant mother, were killed in the first attack.

Commissioner Ojok explained that the second attack involved a police car travelling from peace prayer venue in Hiyala to Torit in which one person was killed.

The Commissioner said about 60 attackers stopped the police car, pulled out a passenger and shot him on the spot.

Commissioner Ojok said no suspect was arrested and that heavy rains disrupted state authority from deploying police to trace the attackers.
