‘The ongoing crisis in the country is a journey that will one day come to and end’.
This was the encouragement Torit Emeritus Bishop Paride Taban gave to South Sudanese who lost hope and termed ‘independence useless’ due to the ongoing conflict in the country.
He likened the crisis to clouds and sunshine, saying ‘after clouds there come always sunshine’ and that South Sudanese should not say the hard won independence is useless.
Bishop Taban said South Sudanese starting from the President of the Republic, political and religious leaders and the faithful should only recognize the situation they are in, realize their weaknesses and be humble to repent.
The Emeritus Bishop was talking to CRN in Juba before the celebration of the third independence anniversary.
