Community leaders meet to resolve rumours

Community leaders from Equatoria, Bahr El Ghazal and Upper Nile on Monday met to resolve rumours and restore confidence among people.
 
Equatoria community chairperson Alison Manani Magaya told the press that the three community leaders deliberated on the rumours among the civil population and find out ways of uniting them, Bakhita Radio reported.
 
He said the wild rumours were spoiling relationship between Equatoria, Bahr El Ghazal and Unity regions and that they met to build national consensus among people.
 
Bahr El Ghazal community chairperson Ambrose Riny Thiik said they were committed to work together with the people of Equatoria to stop the conflict in South Sudan.
 
The leaders appealed to citizens in Juba and the country at large not to believe the ongoing rumours and celebrate the third independence anniversary in peace.
