Community Empowerment for Progress Organization or CEPO Executive Director on Thursday urged the government and SPLM/A in opposition to allow citizens express their opinions freely and stop generalizing the media publication mistakes.

Edmond Yakani cited some threatening statements including ‘unfair inclusivity and red lines’ posing fear to citizens on their rights to talk, Easter Radio reported.

He called on the leaders to stop throwing suppressing judgments on citizens’ grievances, but allow them say out to be addressed.

The Director lamented that suppressing citizens from the freedom of expression would increase more violence.

Mr Yakani urged citizens and the government to be specific on the media for accountability and stop generalizing the press on mistaken publications.

The Director commended the media in nation building, urging journalists to stick to professional ethics and work for the betterment of the country.
