A national Member of Parliament on Tuesday blamed authorities in the country for failing to enlighten and feed the civil population with accurate information.

Salva Mathok Gengdit said authorities in the country utter verbal talks that push citizens away from trusting the government, Bakhita Radio reported.

He said majority of leaders pretend to be good to President Salva Kiir during day time, but do the opposite at night.

MP Mathok pointed out that many things government officials and the President do were not reaching to the grassroots, making people on the ground ignorant of what is happening in the country.

He also accused MPs of failing to reach their people in the Counties, Payams and Bomas with the information about the country’s current situation.

MP Mathok  admitted that there are problems in the government which need serious attention of the president.

The Legislator suggested that President Kiir should talk to the public at least one time every month to build national consensus.

He also blamed some religious leaders for criticizing the president, warning that people talking of division must be dealt with accordingly.
