Youths call for peace, reconciliation

The National Platform for Peace and Reconciliation youths’ consultation workshop ended on Friday in Juba with a call for peace and reconciliation.
 
South Sudan Peace and Reconciliation Deputy Chairperson Peter Gwang described the workshop as very important for youths to talk one language of unity because the future of the country lies on their hands, Bakhita Radio reported.
 
He earlier said as youths are the muscles of production in war and peace, it was important for them to preach peace and unity in the country.
 
Inspire Youth for Development Foundation Representative Muklish Arafat Simeon said they discussed interesting things for youths to preach peace in remote areas of South Sudan.
 
He said they would use National Platform for Peace and Reconciliation modalities to bring on board more youths’ organizations in the states.
 
The workshop was organized by National Peace and Reconciliation Commission and Platform for Peace and Reconciliation in collaboration with partners.
