A man on Wednesday beat his wife to death for having miscarriage at Kuzee residential area in Yambio of Western Equatoria.
The deceased elder sister, Mariam Michael said Mr James Rungo beat his wife Jenty Michael to death after accusing her of aborting a baby, Anisa Radio reported.
Yambio Deputy Police Inspector First Lieutenant Anthony Ayii confirmed the death of Ms Michael, saying medical checkup indicated too much internal bleeding due to miscarriage and the beating.
He reported that the husband beat his wife randomly with whips, blows and kicks on the stomach.
The Deputy Police Inspector advised people to avoid fighting by taking legal procedures to resolve problems or send a wife safely to her relatives.
The 20-years-old Jenty Michael died on Thursday afternoon and Naagori police arrested the husband the same evening.
Anonymous sources said the man was under the influence of opium.
