St Joseph Primary School Lutaya of Yei Catholic Diocese closed its first term without headmaster and deputy after they resigned without notifying Education Coordinator.

The Diocesan Education Coordinator Fr Alex Lodiong Sakor said the headmaster and his deputy left the office without informing the diocese and that the school was run entirely by the School Officer until the end of its first term, Easter Radio reported.

He lamented that the school drastically deteriorates academically and did not take a position among the best the ten schools in the county.

Fr Lodiong cited inadequate benches to pupils, lack of regulations to teachers, poor respond from parents to pay school fees.

He accused people of Lutaya of working for the downfall of the school, forcing the administration to run ineffectively.

The Coordinator installed Emmanuel Lomoro headmaster deputized by Napiso Rehema who doubles as the school bursar, Mokili Kennedy became School Officer, Boyi John Examination Secretary and Viola Amude Senior Woman Teacher.

He appealed to teachers and the new administrators not to be intimidated by outsiders, but always seek advice from the Diocesan Education Coordinator and other stakeholders to run the school.
