The President of the Republic on Thursday while briefing members of the National Legislative Assembly on the stakeholders’ position on interim government for national unity, rejected dissolution of his regime.

Salva Kiir Mayardit said the stakeholders’ proposal to the IGAD was to restructure all institutions including the National Assembly and introduce equal representation in the interim government, Bakhita Radio reported.

He said he made it clear in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia that dissolution of the elected government was a red line.

The President said the stakeholders also planned to constitute the executive without him and that the proposal is a red line and would remain president because people elected him.

He said the elected Constitutional post holders would never be removed from the interim government because South Sudanese elected them.

The President said those insisting to dismantle SPLM should forget and know that the government is firm and would never accept abrupt changes.

He said told the MPs that his delegation at the peace talks in Addis Ababa suspended talk waiting an explanation from IGAD for describing him ”stupid”.
