Eastern Equatoria Health ministry is conducting five-day training on District Health Information System or DHIS under Health Pool Fund project.
Health Pool Fund State Coordinator Richard Ochak Morris said the training attracted officers from eight counties of the state with instructors from the national Ministry of Health and a South African consultant, Emmanuel Radio reported.
He said the training would enable health practitioners to resolve challenges of data flow identified in health reporting.
The training facilitator Alex Drapiri Adui said the system ease the use of software for managing health information.
He said the performance of Eastern Equatoria in reporting health data to the national ministry of health was always poor.
Eastern Equatoria Primary Health Care Director Ercillia Akulu urged the participants to concentrate on getting the skills for future benefits.
She told them to share the knowledge with their colleagues in Payams who did not attend the training.
The five-day training that kicked off on Monday is expected to end on Friday.
