Central Equatoria Teachers’ Trade Union Deputy Secretary on Thursday advised citizens in Yei River County to open up more schools to avoid seeking studies in the neighbouring countries.
Emmanuel Lemi called on teachers to learn in Teachers Trade Union’s or TTU schools because they pay monthly salaries on time resulting to provision of quality education, Easter Radio reported.
He said hardworking teachers would earn much money if they struggled to cover many periods during the evening hours.
Mr Lemi said TTU schools accommodate students and adults learners including prisoners, repeaters and government officials.
He added that TTUs teach dropped outs resulting from pregnancy, long illness and money constraints.
The Deputy Secretary made the remarks during teachers’ meeting on Thursday.
