A group of SPLM Students’ League at the University of Bahr El Ghazal petitioned its executive for incompetence, questioning the office term and accusing its members of failing to run the party’s affairs at the University.
The group later posted copies of the petition to every part of the University campus, Voice of Hope reported.
The League’s Secretary Philip Akech described the petition as contrary to the League’s Constitution and that the group did not follow right procedures for posting petition copies in the campus.
Mr Akech said election of the party’s executive at the University delayed due to the ongoing crisis in the country.
He warned members against exposing party’s secrets, but unite all comrades to build up the party’s integrity at the capacity of students.
Mr Akech justified that the League stopped its political rallies at the University following December’s crisis to minimize violence and that it also suffered financial constrains since assuming office in 2012.
University of Bahr El Ghazal Students’ League office term is one year, but the serving executive work for nearly two years.
