Western Equatoria Governor threw state unequivocal support for federal system of governance in the country.
In his remarks during the opening of the State Legislative Assembly on Monday after three-month recess, Bangasi Joseph Bakosoro said federal governance in South Sudan is the only way to avoid another bloody conflict in the future, Anisa Radio reported.
He advocated for non-violence and political settlement in South Sudan.
Governor Bakasoro appreciated state parliamentarians for preaching peace during their holiday.
State Assembly Speaker Bage James Elisa expressed disappointment over the current war that is tearing the young nation apart, claiming many and uprooting citizens from their residents.
He disclosed that MPs activities during their three-month recess would be compiled and submitted to the executive organ of the government for possible implementation.
